From Ponte d’Arli to Mulino di Piedicava

A short but evocative itinerary that connects the village of Ponte d’Arli to Mulino di Piedicava, crossing landscapes that blend history, nature and the power of stone.

After visiting the village and the imposing sixteenth-century bridge — built between 1572 and 1580 — take the marked trail that gently climbs under the rocky wall. The route alternates between sections of white road and forest, offering panoramic views of the Tronto valley.
After passing the quarry and a regular pine forest, you reach Palazzaccio, a small travertine village now uninhabited but of great charm. From here you continue towards the “Quercia secca“, a monumental tree and reference point visible from afar, then descend to the meadow of Skrella and to the ford that leads to Mulino di Piedicava, surrounded by greenery.

From this point it is possible to continue towards Arola or climb back towards Piedicava and Paggese, completing the loop.
