The Fresh Porcini Mushroom from Laga is born in the unspoiled woods of Acquasanta Terme. A symbol of mountain gastronomy, it is appreciated for its intense aroma and firm texture. Collected in the chestnut and beech woods of the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park, it represents a natural excellence of the Marche region.
In the shady forests of the Monti della Laga, one of the most authentic symbols of Apennine gastronomy is born: the Fresh Porcini Mushroom from Laga. It grows spontaneously among chestnut and beech woods, where the altitude, humidity, and purity of the air create a product of excellent quality, fragrant and firm.
Collected by expert mycologists and local enthusiasts, the Laga porcini is a star of mountain tables: grilled, sautéed, or as a base for first courses and typical sauces. Its seasonality (from June to October) makes it even more precious, tied to the natural rhythms of the mountain.
The porcini supply chain is an integral part of the local culture of Acquasanta Terme: an ancient knowledge that combines sustainability, respect for the forest, and enhancement of the natural resources of the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park.
