Piandelloro is one of the most intimate and quiet hamlets in the Municipality of Acquasanta Terme, a small stone village surrounded by centuries-old chestnut groves and nestled along the ancient mountain paths of the Ascoli Apennines. It is easily accessible by car from Roccafluvione as well, via a scenic road that climbs through woods and ridges.

The light stone houses, arranged on small terraces, tell a rural story of mountain agriculture, forest work, and essential community life. Piandelloro is also a strategic starting point for trekking enthusiasts. From the village begins the scenic Ceresa Ring Trail, which climbs to the sandstone ridges of the mountain offering panoramic views over the entire Acquasanta Terme area and the Rocchetta slope. Just above the settlement is the turnoff to the fascinating Petriennio Caves, a natural amphitheater carved from sandstone and shaped over the centuries by wind and water.
