Fosso dei Colori

This is a hiking itinerary with strong landscape impact, ideal for curious hikers and those who love the wild atmospheres of the Acquasanta area. The route covers approximately 5.5 km with a positive elevation gain of approximately 290 m, crossing a sequence of spectacular natural environments: shaded gorges, slopes rich in moss and colorful rocks, small fords and panoramic sections that overlook the valley.

The heart of the route is the “Fossi dei Colori” area, where water sculpts and colors the rock creating unique natural scenery. The excursion then reaches the evocative Casa nella Grotta, an ancient shelter carved into the rock wall, and continues toward the ruins of abandoned farmhouses, silent testimony to the highland rural life of the past.

It is a short but intense itinerary, perfect for an authentic experience in the hidden landscapes of Acquasanta Terme.
