Tallacano and Borgo Rocchetta

Tallacano is one of the emblematic villages of the Ville del Tufo, a place that does not immediately reveal itself to the eye but unveils only to those who leave the old Salaria and follow the internal roads descending from the Centrale hills towards the villages beyond the mountains.

The journey to Tallacano passes through still-active travertine quarries, ancient testimonies of human labor, the modern church of Sant’Emidio, the house-tower with remnants of corner bartizans, and the open-air stretch where thermal waters flow before reaching the Tronto.
