In this place, over two thousand years ago, <strong data-start=\"561\" data-end=\"594\">spontaneous springs flowed<\/strong> at a higher elevation than the current Tronto River, just below the <strong data-start=\"656\" data-end=\"678\">ancient Via Salaria<\/strong>, the Roman road that crossed the territory before the modern route. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"760\" data-end=\"1149\">Originally dedicated to the <strong data-start=\"790\" data-end=\"820\">Madonna of Mercy<\/strong>, the church assumed its current name after the Marian statue was moved to a side altar and a <strong data-start=\"954\" data-end=\"994\">finely colored wooden crucifix<\/strong> was placed in the center, with <strong data-start=\"1000\" data-end=\"1036\">vivid and intentionally bright tones<\/strong>. This unique work reflects the popular sensibility and expressive power of mountain faith. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1151\" data-end=\"1476\">The building, made of local stone with a sober structure, preserves an intimate atmosphere that dialogues with the surrounding water and silence. Just below are the <strong data-start=\"1318\" data-end=\"1351\">ancient baths of &#8220;Lu Vurghe&#8221;<\/strong>, the mill, and the small beach on the Tronto: living testimonies of the millennial bond between nature, thermal springs, and spirituality. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1478\" data-end=\"1503\"><strong data-start=\"1478\" data-end=\"1501\">Visiting tips:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1504\" data-end=\"1717\">\n<li data-start=\"1504\" data-end=\"1556\">\n<p data-start=\"1506\" data-end=\"1556\">A suggestive stop on the GABA route and a cultural variant to visit after a regenerating bath at Lu Vurghe.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1557\" data-end=\"1629\">\n<p data-start=\"1559\" data-end=\"1629\">It will be made more evocative by allowing future visits to the underlying Roman baths;
