A panoramic loop connecting two symbolic hamlets of the upper Tronto valley, Fleno and San Gregorio, places suspended between Marche and Abruzzo.
The route winds through ridges and chestnut woods with wide views stretching from the Gran Sasso and the Majella to the Adriatic Sea, Monte Vettore, and the Conero.<\/p>\n
Starting from Fleno, the small stone village nestled in the pastures, take the white-red marked cart track towards Forcella. After crossing the bridge over the Tyeta stream, where some benches invite a break, the path enters the woods and gently climbs towards San Gregorio, among oaks, beeches, and chestnut groves. <\/p>\n
Along the way, you will encounter the 19th-century washhouse, a testament to rural and community life. From here, you quickly reach San Gregorio, the highest hamlet of Acquasanta Terme, home of From the square and Piccioni’s birthplace, head back towards the mountain, then descend along the ridge that re-enters the forest.
